I have divided the known descendants of Caleb Aldridge, Jr. and Jonathan Arledge off into their own pages. We do not know much about the descendants of Caleb's sons Clement or Eli/Elijah/Eleazer Aldridge at this time. If you have any corrections or additions to these pages, please contact me.

1. CALEB ALDRIDGE/6 ARLEDGE (ISAAC, WILLIAM ALDRIDGE, CLEMENT, CLEMENT, JOHN ALDRICH) was born 1756 in went to Anson/Mecklenburg Co, NC [1790 NC census], and died in Tennessee.

In 1800, CALEB ALDRIDGE (over 45) listed in Mecklenburg Co, NC with 5 sons and 2 daughters. Acc. to Enloe Ose of Sacramento, CA, a JOHN ALDRAGE (16-26) is also listed in the 1800 Mecklenburg Co, NC census (Enloe believes this is Caleb's son Jonathan).
Can't locate him in 1810. [Must have been in Tennessee--see note below]
In 1820, in Anson County, NC, census lists CALEP ARLDRIGE, Sr. CALEP ARLDRIGE, Jr and ELIAZER ARLDRIGE.

Don Aldridge
Don's notes: Also see Franklin Rudolph Aldridge's "Aldridge Records, Vol. II" pages 189, 201. I have many land transactions/deeds for him dated 1784 and later. He lived on or near the county line between Anson and Mecklenburg counties, NC. The county line had never been certain so wherever the land had been recorded when he purchased it, that was the county in which he recorded the new deed. He is also listed alternately in the census reports in these Counties.
The 1820 federal census lists one son and five daughters.
In addition, his son Caleb Jr. Is listed in the next household.
The 1820 census also lists (Ely/Eli/Elijah) Aldridge living nearby.
His lands were located on Richardson Creek and the Camden Road which are now sited as just below the dam for Lake Twitty in present-day Union County, NC.
Living in Anson Co.,N.C. in 1790.

Clement's will is recorded in Stewart Co, TN Record Book 1829-1836, p. 199, date April 2nd, 183_ (not clear). Mentions wife Deloney, and to "all my children" (names not given). Executors Edward Taylor and John Matheny. Probated August 1832.
After Clement's death, there are a number of records of real estate transactions of his wife Deloney (Lona):
Lona Aldridge to Owen Tucker of Christian County, KY, 10 November 1834 for $166, 100 acres on Cub Creek; also for $25 25 acres on Cub Creek. (Stewart Co, TN Deed Book 11, p. 361-363).
Deloney Arledge to John Moreland, 3 Nov 1835, for $60, 50 and 10 acres on Cub Creek (Deed Book 12, p. 296).
According to Franklin R. Aldridge (Aldridge Records, Vol. II, p. 191): "Deloney Aldridge, with some of her children, left Stewart County, and she is next found in the 1840 census of St. Francis County, Arkansas: 2 males 5-10, one male 10-15, two females 10-15 and one female 40-50. According to the census, 12 children were born to this union. Deloney may have died in the 1840s, or married again. Some which appear to be her children are living in St. Francis County in 1850, but all seem to disappear by 1860. One Josiah ALDRIDGE married in Henry County, TN, 8 Jan 1843, Rebecca Williams. He went to Arkansas. Other children may have been Hiram, Orph A. and Catherine."
